There will be TWO Lathe Cut Camps in Back to Back weekends this year. October 17-19, 2026 and October 24-26, 2023. As of now these will be ONLY for purchasers of the Minicut-02 stereo diamond cutting record lathe. Please get in contact if you are interested in a "learning only embossing camp" and we may add it to one weekend.

YOU MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE PURCHASING ANYTHING ON THIS PAGE. Please reach out with interest, questions, etc and I will get you sorted.

There are only FOUR spots available for Lathe Cut Camp 30&31 for MiniCut-02 Purchase and Training .
if you want the Lathe Cut Camp experience but don't want to commit to a Mini-Cut at the moment, please get in touch and let me know you are interested.

There will probably be two Lathe Cut Camps within a few weeks of each other, as I will have 10 mini-cuts available and only four people per Lathe Cut Camp.

(Lathe Cut Camp is free for purchasers of the Mini-Cut 2 Stereo Diamond Cutting Lathe! See bottom for details!)

THERE ARE ONLY 4 SPOTS AND ALL PREVIOUS CAMPS HAVE SOLD OUT!

Spend three days in scenic Tucson, AZ learning (almost) everything you need to know about DIY Record Cutting! The focus of this camp will be on mono "semi-professional" machines, with particular focus on the MiniCut-02.

Topics covered:
The science behind vinyl record cutting
Lathe Operations and equipment
The pressing process
Lacquer dub plate cutting
Artist possibilities of lathe cuts and packaging
Stereo Diamond Hifi One-Off Records

Please Note: You are responsible for your own transportation to/from Tucson and your accommodations. The New Lathe Cave is in Midtown Tucson near the corner of Grant and North Country Club Rd.

Purchase is non-refundable. I understand that sometimes plans change and things go awry, and will try to apply your credit to a future camp, but due to the limited nature of the camp and these machines, a $400 fee will be deducted from your deposit for inability to attend if you don't notify me within 4 weeks of the first day of your scheduled camp.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BUY FOR HOME LIST: (WAIT TO BUY THIS STUFF UNTIL AFTER LATHE CUT CAMP)

This is what you will need that is not provided by me. I will give you everything that is not easily accessible on Amazon, Ebay, FB Marketplace, etc.
1) High Torque Turntable – Do not buy yet. We will talk options at Lathe Cut Camp
2) PA Amplifier – 350-450 watts per channel at 8 ohms.
3) Mixer – I recommend the Mackie Mix8 ($100)
4) Headphones – Overear corded with 1/8 jack
5) Laptop with Toneboosters Pro EQ loaded into AUDACITY. Toneboosters is only $50 and audacity is always free. There are other pieces of software that are also available and other DAWS, but this is the combination that I am set up for and that I know, so we will use this EXCLUSIVELY at Lathe Cut Camp. Once you get home you can use anything else you want, but this combination is all that I can provide service for (there is a reason I deal in 1930s and 40s tech… I suck at digital everything).
6) USB audio interface – I like the Focusrite Scarlet Solo ($120).
7) An ART Phono PreAmp Plus PLUS Headphones and RCA cables ($100)
